Cookies? What have I gotten myself into now?

Well, this is an all-new endeavor. A friend
of mine asked if I decorated cookies. Truth be told,
not until now! But, always ready to try something new,
I accepted the challenge. She asked if I would make them for
her friend who lives in Syracuse, NY. Her friend works for
Boxcar Press in customer relations, hence the boxcar and the
girl at the computer!

Cake Pops Galore

This was the wedding of my mother-in-law's niece.
The bride contacted me in January to see if I would make
200 cake pops for her wedding and sent me the picture of the
idea she had for a cake/cake pop stand. I was excited and nervous.
The most cake pops I had ever made at one time was around 50.
About a month ago, she asked me if I would be willing to make 300 instead!
I said I would. When it was all said and done, I made 322!

On the wedding day, my brother-in-law and nephew helped me assemble the
cake pop cake. When we were done assembling it, I walked around the
front of the table and screamed! I couldn't hold it in! It looked just as we
had hoped it would and everything worked out so well. Praise God!

So much fun. Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart!

Fiftieth Anniversary Cake

Happy 50th Anniversary,
Dan and Raedean!

I made these cakes for a friend who's in-laws were celebrating
their 50th. It was a "from scratch" carrot cake with cream cheese
buttercream frosting. Yum!

Birthday cake and Graduation cake

This cake was actually made for 5 birthdays! However, the
person whose birthday was on the day the cake was delivered
is the one whose name I put on top. The rest of the names are around
the sides. My friend, Lynette, had dropped by earlier in the day
and stayed to watch me decorate this cake. She had some good
ideas about the eyes, nose and mouth (which are the parts I
have the hardest time with). So I scrapped my original plan
and did what she suggested. I think it turned out much better than
it would have. Thanks, Lynette! And, Happy Birthday, Allie, Evie, Kelley,
Dillon, and Rachel!

This is a college graduation cake for my neighbor's daughter.
She is an amazing woman. A single mom, she has persevered
through 6 years of college and is now off to be a Special Ed
teacher. She found a cake on Pinterest and asked if I could recreate
it. Honestly, and I rarely give myself props, I think I did a much
better job than the original picture! This was  a very fun cake to make.

Confirmation Cake and Crime Fighters

This cake was for my neighbor's grandson's Confirmation.
It was the first time I had made a book cake. I think it turned out
very nice. The bookmark is fondant.

Happy 5th Birthday, Nick. Scooby says, "Rooby rooby roooooo!"
This was such a fun cake to make. The dog biscuits are made from
modeling chocolate and are completely edible. Yumm!

A Skiing Birthday and Polka Dots Galore!

This cake is for a sweet little girl who loves skiing! It was a chocolate cake with chocolate
buttercream filling. Happy Birthday, Ryann!
#girlskiingcake
These two cakes were for my dear client's husband's 40th and her dad's birthday.
She is such a dear person. The skiing birthday cake for Ryann was her order also.
Knowing that I had a lot on my plate, she requested easier cakes for her husband and her dad
since they were all due the same week. So the 40th cake is also Chocolate with Chocolate
buttercream. The cake for "Pop" is Spice with Almond buttercream. YUM!
