It's been a while since I have posted a cake.
Truth is, I am working full-time now and don't really have the time.
This cake, I couldn't turn down because I wanted to make the sofa
so bad! I am so pleased with how it turned out!
All of the aspects of this cake turned out better
than I thought they would. It was so much fun!

Boat Cake

Cabin Cruiser Cake
This is a cabin cruiser for a special 80 year old.
This boat means a lot to this gentleman.
Happy Birthday, Jay!

Metal Militia and Ariel cakes

This is a Metal Militia cake made
for a friend's son. I am pretty pleased with
how this turned out. I did the skull and
helmet with fondant. The 24/7 is the number
of the birthday boy's dirt bike when he races.

Under The Sea
This Ariel cake was made for a dear friend
of mine and her precious daughter.
I am pretty happy about how it turned out.
The clam shell and sea shells are fondant
that I painted with edible dust.

Baby Bump

I have always wanted to do a Baby Bump cake.
Someone finally asked me to and I have to admit,
it was a very fun cake to decorate!

The tummy is a marble cake with
cookies and cream filling and
 the "chest" is funfetti!

Dalek Cake

This is a Dalek from Dr. Who.

I love it when I get asked to try a
technique I haven't tried before.
I love the way the sides of this cake
turned out. I don't know what this
technique is called, but I call it "super fun"!
The cake flavor is chocolate with
cookies-n-cream filling.

An attempt at "Gormet" Cupcakes

A friend of mine gets the "cupcake of the month"
delivered to her at work. The cupcakes are always
so amazing and I realized that I really need to step up my game.
These are Salted Caramel Chocolate cupcakes. They
are chocolate cake, with caramel inserted then a
dark chocolate buttercream with a drizzle of
caramel and pink Himalayan sea salt on top.
They were delicious, if I do say so myself. However,
you definitely need at least one glass of milk per cupcake!

Birthdays and a Graduation cake

The above cake traveled to Twin Falls, Idaho
for the graduation celebration of my friend's son,
Avery! Congrats, Avery! This cake was chocolate
with cookies n cream filling.
The Chevy cake was for my neighbor's grandson,
Dillon. I remember the day Dillon was born and now
he's 16! That is ridiculous! This was a yellow cake
with cookies n cream filling and chocolate buttercream frosting.
This springtime-y cake was to celebrate the
birthday of a beloved teacher. The student's mom
really wanted to show this teacher how much she was appreciated.
This was a strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream filling.
Happy Birthday, Mrs. Nichols!
